What this function covers
Opportunities rarely reach young people by accident. This function exists to make connections deliberate: matching young people to mentors, employers, fellowships, internships, grants, volunteering and institutional pathways that fit where they are and where they want to go.
We focus on the quality of the connection, not just the count. A mentor who answers matters more than a database entry, and an internship only counts if it leads somewhere.
Who it is for
Young people looking for their next step, whether that is a first role, a place to study, a mentor in a specific field, or funding to try an idea.
What we run
The mentor network and employer links form the core of this function, alongside fellowships, internships, grants, volunteering and institutional partnerships. We also map opportunities so that young people can see what exists and what they are eligible for.
How partners contribute
Employers, institutions and professionals open doors through placements, mentorship, sponsorship and market access. CLINK brings youth talent, preparation, matching and follow-through so that opportunities are used well.
What we measure
We track the number and quality of mentors, partners and opportunities accessed, and how many young people move into education, employment or enterprise as a result.
